Golden Tulip hotelGOLDEN TULIP (FORMERLY CONTINENTAL HOTEL )
Prior to its divestiture in 1990, the hotel had 116 employees and about 130 rooms. It is now a modern African-style hotel which is delightfully landscaped over spacious grounds with extensive tropical gardens and lush vegetation. The number of employees has now risen to 346 and the number of rooms is made up of 234 air-conditioned guest rooms connected to the main building by cool passageways. These are inclusive of 4 Junior Suites, 2 luxurious Executive Suites as well as 6 Executive Apartments. All Executive suites offer a value added benefit of a Jacuzzi and all the rooms equipped with internet connection. For long staying guests or those seeking more privacy, there are 16 chalets set in beautiful gardens which offer a living room and kitchenette. Featuring all the extra facilities of minibar, safety deposit box, coffee/tea facilities, trouser press, hair dryer, colour TV (with BBC World and other international channels) an accurate timed wake-up system and 20-hour room service, the hotel's rooms fulfil the needs of today's traveller in every respect.

The hotel can accommodate meetings and conferences for up to 300 persons, and cocktail parties and receptions for up to 450 guests.
